Hairy Larry Writes Now On Plain Text Blog
I have a feeling that it's finished. I can control the last modified date on the text files with two simple php programs, readdate.php and writedate.php. I want to write one more where a YYYY-MM-DD string can be passed in as a parameter. Then the program converts that to a timestamp and writes it to the ftime.txt file. So not quite done. Just done enough.
So I am now using it in production, so to speak, where the rubber hits the road and we shall see. But it is exactly what I want and it's extremely simple.
I just put the RSS feed up over at Delta Boogie so here's the links.

Hairy Larry Writes Plain Text Blog
In an intensive 24 hour coding session I have constucted a Plain Text Blog, a static site generator where text files uploaded to the internet become blog posts.
It has these features:
Posts view most recent at top.
Table Of Contents alphabetical and most recent at top.
Text links automatically turned into clickable links.
Google programmed search.
Create your text file with the title in the file name. Dashes and underscores will be converted to spaces.
Type your post into the text file including links with no markup.
Upload the post.
I will have more to say about this but for now, I'm loving it!
